Revamping braids

Hey guys,

You know how you spend some good money on buying braiding hair/attachment/extensions and on paying the hair stylist to make it for you? Then you spend a good amount of time sitting down to get the hair braided and by the time you’re done, you can barely feel your butt? Then 4 weeks down the line the hair starts looking old in your eyes and you’re tired of it?

Girrrrl, been there, done that!

I’m going to share with you 3 easy ways to revamp your braids/twists and give them a new look so you can enjoy every single kobo you spent!

1. Curl it.

You can decide to curl the entire thing or just the ends.

You can use bantu knots, flexi rods aka bendy rollers, big braided sections etc and then dip them in hot water and voila!

I like to curl just the ends

2. Twist/Braid out.

Loosen the braids or twists just enough to ensure they don’t fall off and you’ve got a whole new style!

This is a twist out of the style I had in the “curl it” pictures

Like my makeup? My sister did it and I will do a post on it soon enough

3. Bob!

This resurrected hairstyle of back in the day seems to be everyone and their grandma’s new favourite style so rest assured that you will be right on trend.

I hope I have convinced you (and not confused you) to give those braids/twists another chance! Don’t take them out just yet!

What’s your favourite way to change up your braids/twists? Do you use any method I didn’t mention? Please share!

Peace!

    • Hi Tuke,
      Thank you!
I’m so sorry for the late response.
I used Noble Gold and I got it for 800 Naira at Ipodo market (opposite Computer Village, Ikeja) but it’s pretty common so you can find it elsewhere
